Library Notes | Will (1782): Carroll leaves his entire estate to his son Charles Carroll Will (1825): Carroll divides his estate among children and grandchildren (son Charles have predeceased him). He mentions books: "To Ambrose Marechal, Archbishop of Baltimore, "the Chapel on my manor of Doughoragen near to the dwelling house, with all the Utensils, Vessels, Furniture, Books, and Vestments used in the said Chapel ..." Codicil (1827):Â Carroll revokes the gift to Ambrose Marechal, giving him instead the sum of $3,000 |
