Z. A. Maxfield

I really enjoyed this story. It's sweet and sultry, with a focus on the developing relationship between these two men. The writing is lyrical and engaging, and the author has a real talent for writing believable, lovable characters. I was rooting for these two (and Poppy) to find their happily ever afters together. One of the best cowboy romances that I have read in a while. Very smoothly written with a plot that flowed perfectly. I came to care a lot about both Speed and Crispin. Mr. and Mrs. Jenkins did take in damaged strays and helped to heal them out of love. The last scene with Emma and Speed up on the bluff was wonderful and heart wrenching. The epilogue was truly unnecessary to the story.

Thank everything good that Lindy's father had a head on his shoulders unlike his overly dense son! Z.A. has crafted a sweet winner with St. Nacho's. I loved almost all of the characters, even flighty Judy. This story had all the feels without tons of angst. Rico was pretty cool too.
