A beautiful story, with highly charged emotions, a sweet love story, and humour woven together as only NR Walker can write.

Isaac lost his sight at 9 in an accident that took the life of his mother. His losses continued as his guide dogs, Cody, and Rosie, died. Now in his late 20s, with a relatively new dog, he will not allow himself to love or care about the hardworking Brady.

That Isaac freezes out Brady becomes a sticking point in his new relationship with Brady's vet, Carter. Isaac's fear of losing those he loves causes him to be traumatised and stuck. Carter can't bear Isaac's treatment of Brady. It's heartbreaking...… (more)

This book totally resonated with me as a demisexual. It was so nice to read a romance that didn't have anything to do with SEX. Sex dominates our culture and it gets old. It was nice to read about people under the asexual umbrella who longed for the kind of relationship I used to long for. It was great to read about two people falling in love without it being based all on the physical relationship.

I definitely want more asexual fiction! It's a great book for anyone interested in people who are asexual or if they're questioning if they're asexual themselves or if they already know they're asexual.… (more)
