I first purchased this book in December for storytime. It was so popular at the library that I gave them my copy to keep and ordered this one as a replacement. The pigeon is always getting himself up to some mischief and this time he is looking to drive Santa's sleigh. Will he ruin Christmas by being naughty or will someone save the day? A fun, easy read for storytime or just bedtime with your child.

I love this book and it is always a favorite at storytime! The surprise ending is so refreshing and the children always find it funny. They really love to help with the reading by warning out "That is not a good idea!" when it comes up in the book. Overall this book is a lot of fun and very interactive.

There Is a Bird on Your Head! is a humorous picture book that follows the antics of two best friends, Elephant and Piggie. When Piggie notices that a bird has landed on Elephant's head, he becomes increasingly concerned and tries to help his friend get rid of it. However, every attempt to solve the problem only leads to more birds landing on Elephant's head. Through their misadventures, Elephant and Piggie learn the value of friendship, cooperation, and finding humor in unexpected situations.Teachers can lead discussions about friendship, problem-solving, and resilience. this book is best suited for younger grades.

This particular book has not received any accolades; however, Mo Willems himself is a number one New York Times best-selling author and illustrator. "Can I play too?" is a part of a collection those shows a positive message with a sprinkle of humor.

My kindergarten students listened to this story as part of their author study on Mo Willems. This last installment of the three-part series is a touching ending. Trixie again loses Knuffle Bunny and learns to be both brave and generous.

This was a cute book. It is very easy and simple to r4ead. I would recommend this for kids who are struggling to read longer books. I would have this in my classroom only for the kids that need easier books to read to help them learn how to read chapter books.

This beautifully illustrated book tells the story of how a young girl becomes a composer. Her journey started with just one small act and it led her on an amazing journey. Readers of all ages will appreciate seeing how just one small act can change a person’s life. The cause and effect relationships portrayed in this story remind us of how all of our actions have a ripple effect and can make a big difference in someone else’s life.

A densely rhyming tale of a little frog called Nanette and a day she won't soon forget - she gets to get the baguette herself! But when she eats it on the way home (it is warm and wonderful and smells/tastes so good, after all), will Mom be upset? (Spoiler alert: not at all! "Let's reset." Mom is no stranger to eating a baguette on the way home...)

Are you big? A hot air balloon is big...a cloud is big...a storm is big... Each "big" thing is dwarfed by its successor, until the question returns: Are YOU big? To a bug, you are! It's all about perspective.

Perfect for toddler/preschool storytimes!

Author Mo Willems does a wonderful job in this beginning reader book. Piggie finds a ball and then big guy (whale) takes it away from him. Piggy tells Gerald about the big guy taking his ball. Gerald decided to go get the ball back from the big guy, but he is unsuccessful. Piggy, Gerald, and Big Guy learn to solve their problem and become friends by playing together. Children will love this beginning reader and develop a love for reading.

This is an excellent picture book. It is an early reader for children. In this book it is pig day and piggie is excited to celebrate. Elephant is sad because he believes that he cannot celebrate because he is not a pig. This is an excellent series to encourage children to read. Children will love reading this series. Do not forget to find the pigeon.

This book would be good for primary students. This book is "Can I Play Too?" written and illustrated by Mo Willems and published in 2010. I absolutely love Elephant and Piggie books. They are so lighthearted and fun to read. The illustrations are so simple yet the characters are so animated in their expressions. This one is about a snake that wants to play catch with elephant and Piggie, but they can't figure out how to because the snake doesn't have arms. They come up with a solution that they throw the snake back and forth instead of the ball. I would for sure use this in my future classroom because it teaches kids to be imaginative when it comes to figuring out solutions and it shows them that everyone should be allowed to play with everyone, even if they are different than them.

- Age: Beginner

- I loved how simple the pages were almost making the text the main point. It was easy to read and follow along, and it related to real experiences. For example playing with a friend or sister and accidentally breaking their toy. I loved how Pigge explained their emotions when it was mad and sad, hopefully encouraging kids to explain their emotions too.

- I would have this in my classroom for my students to read an learn from.
