Incredible retelling of about a thousand years of the history of civilization. Talks about what we know with maps and time tables where appropriate, expands on what we don't by listing the clues we have. Amazing.

Interesting, well written book about Ancient Greece from the Minoans to Cleopatra, Last Pharaoh of Egypt. This is supposed to be an introductory text, but includes a great deal more information than the usual introductory texts. This book also includes several time lines, maps and photographs of vases, statues and coins.

If you don't know anything or only know a little bit about Ancient Greece, this is the book to read.

Great introduction to Ancient Greece. A little dry at times.
