I will be visiting Vancouver in a few weeks.

Can any members from the group recommend a good used book store in Vancouver?

My primary areas of interest are military and naval history.

Thank you for your assistance in this matter.

Someone from the area will probably help you, but in the meantime you could have a look at this listing; seems there's a whole lot to choose from!

Vancouver is pretty dry when I comes to bookstores. You'd do better in Victoria or almost anywhere else. That said, MacLeod's may be the place you want. It's right downtown, on the corner of Richards and Pender.

They are serious book people, and pretty helpful, so if you are looking for something specialized you may want to call in advance and see if they have what you're looking for. I would expect that if they don't, they will tell you where to look.

There are also a couple of other used book stores within a block of MacLeods, but they are smaller. There are a couple of good used stores on East Hastings in Burnaby close to the Vancouver border, if you're in that area.
